Letters written to Hugh Hall, 1719-1765

A small collection of letters written to Boston, Mass. and Barbados merchant Hugh Hall, 1720-1765, discuss family matters, news, and events; shipments of goods; payment of bills; and other business-related matters. Correspondents include his brothers Richard and Charles Hall, Increase Gatchell, and Joseph Paul. Also included is a twelve page ledger from 1719-1722 recording sales of goods received from Barbados and the names of purchasing merchants and captains. The collection also includes unverified transcriptions of many of the letters.
